In the greater Albuquerque area, Cloud is well known as the voice of Grandma’s Music and Sound. Dial 505-292-0341, and you will be greeted by his voice. Tune into local TV stations and sooner or later, a commercial break will feature Cloud’s enticing voice.
Current voiceover contracts include Boeing SVS Albuquerque, as well as Chicago, Illinois. Past experience includes 14 years radio announcing in New York City and the Virgin Islands. In 1987, Cloud began his announcement career in New York’s In Touch Broadcasting, a radio station run by the visually impaired. A year later, a move to the Virgin Islands led to work at WRRA Reef Radio, the People’s Station in Frederiskted. After two years, he moved on to the Power Station WAVI in Christiansted and then to WVIQ Sunny 99.5 where he served as Production Director and Radio Personality. While there, he produced and hosted a four-hour long Sunday program called Shades of Jazz. He was responsible for serving clients in St. Thomas, St. Croix and Tortola.
In addition to live broadcast, Howard assisted in the Music Department at Good Hope School in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, where he taught electric bass. An accomplished bassist with experience in various musical genres, he as also performed with many local bands.
A 2001 move to new Mexico resulted in a five-year stint in retail sales first at Music-Go-Round and then at Grandma’s Music and Sound. The primary focus of this multi-talented artist is now his voice-over work. His demo CD highlghts the diversity of the voice-over spots he has done.
